Smart sensors are crucial enabling elements of today’s building automation capabilities, providing the data required to optimize building operations, energy savings and workplace intelligence. With nearly 30 million installations of PointGrab’s Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software in today’s consumer electronic devices, the company has demonstrated a proven ability to identify and deliver effective sensing solutions on a large scale.       • Haim Perski

        Co-Founder & CEO

        Mr. Perski brings with him extensive experience in working with PC manufacturers (OEMs) and in developing, delivering and integrating input devices within mobile PCs.
        Prior to founding PointGrab, Mr. Perski was VP R&D and CTO of N-trig Ltd., a leading provider of digitizers and touch screens to major laptop manufacturers. Having joined N-trig at an early stage, Mr. Perski took the company’s products through the entire development cycle, from conception to production. He then went on to manage approximately 45 employees and successfully integrated N-trig’s device into a Tier 1 laptop manufacturer.

        Before N-trig, Mr. Perski led a development team of 30 engineers at BVR LTD (NASDAQ BVRS), providers of real-time simulation and monitoring systems. Prior to that, he led a software team at Scidel Ltd., where he was responsible for Computer Vision algorithms for real-time environments.

        Mr. Perski holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University (cum laude).

      • Itamar Roth

        Chief Business Officer

        Mr. Roth brings over 15 years of start-ups experience in the fields of business development, marketing and product with in-depth focus of embedded systems and imaging solutions.
        Prior to PointGrab, Mr. Roth has led the marketing and product management of the enterprise division in Anobit (acquired by Apple) and managed the professional services both in TransChip (acquired by Samsung) and in Samsung Israel R&D center.

        His past roles include R&D positions in Atrica (acquired by Nokia Siemens Networks) and TeraCross.

        Mr. Roth holds MBA from Recanati Executive MBA program in Tel-Aviv University and B.Sc (Summa cum Laude) in Communication Systems Engineering from Ben Gurion University.

      • Yonatan Hyatt

        Chief Technology Officer

        Mr. Hyatt is responsible for driving research and development of PointGrab’s computer vision technology. He brings to PointGrab almost two decades of R&D experience, breakthrough creative technological thinking, hands-on experience in signal, image and video processing, computer vision, machine learning, and gesture recognition, as well as a unique, long-term and in-depth acquaintance with PointGrab’s R&D department.

        Prior to joining the PointGrab team in 2012 as Algorithms Team Leader, Mr. Hyatt was Algorithms Team Leader in Xsight Systems, a provider of advanced runway sensor solutions. Before this, he was an Algorithms Engineer at Correlation Systems, a leading research and development company. Previously, he served in the Israel Defense Forces’ elite 8200 Intelligence Unit.

        Mr. Hyatt has a M.Sc in Image and Signal Processing and a B.Sc in Bio-Medical Engineering, both from Tel Aviv University, and is a graduate of the noted Haman Talpiot military excellence program.

      • Eyal Frishman

        VP Research & Development

        Mr. Frishman manages the research, development and innovation activities of PointGrab.

        Mr. Frishman is an experienced R&D Manager with over 15 years of hands-on software development experience as well as extensive knowledge in Image/Video Processing and Computer-Vision algorithms development.

        Prior to PointGrab, Mr. Frishman led the software applications group of CSR and Image & Video Processing software teams in Zoran. His past roles also include R&D positions in DSP-Group and Emblaze Semiconductors.

        Mr. Frishman holds B.Sc. in Computer Engineering (Cum Laude) from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology).

      • Shmulik Shemesh

        VP Operations

        Mr. Shemesh brings over 25 years of experience in the electronics industry and over 12 years as VP Operations.

        Mr. Shemesh has a broad business and technical background with extensive experience in the fields of engineering, supply chain management and quality & reliability.
        Prior to joining Pointgrab, Mr. Shemesh held several executive positions at Satixfy, Sigma Designs, Anobit technologies (acquired by Apple) and Metalink, leading both the semiconductors and full systems manufacturing operations groups and activities.

        Mr. Shemesh holds a MSc. in Quality Assurance & Reliability and a BSEE from the Technion.

      • Efrat Ben Meir

        Chief Finance Officer

        Ms. Ben Meir brings to PointGrab over 11 years of experience in global high-tech finance. Prior to joining the PointGrab team, Ms. Ben Meir was CFO for Nextage, a financial services company that accompanies startups from seed to global expansion and accompanying two companies Due Diligence that were acquired by Facebook. Before this, she held key financial positions in the Israeli consulate in Philadelphia, USA and at Nice Systems, a NASDAQ-traded company and worldwide leader in integrated digital recording and management solutions.

        Ms. Ben Meir is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a BA in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University, and an MBA specializing in Finance from Bar Ilan University.

      • Havi Liran

        VP HR

        Ms. Liran brings to Pointgrab over 15 years of experience in senior HR management. Prior to joining the Pointgrab team she was leading the HR activities as an external advisor in the startups P-Kama and Typmock. Before this she served as a VP of HR in Viola networks, an international startup Company in the VOIP industry and as HR Director in Idit technologies, international Startup Company in the Insurance industry.
        Ms. Liran holds a M.Sc in Human Resource Management from Leicester University and a B.A in International Relation and Sociology, from Jerusalem University. Havi is also a “Practitioner Certified Coach” ,she studied in the Adler institute and was certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF) .

      • Saar Wilf

        Co-Founder & Chairman

        A serial entrepreneur, Mr. Wilf founded several technology ventures, his first back in 1997. Most notably, Mr. Wilf founded Fraud Sciences (acquired by PayPal/eBay for USD 169 million), where he served as CEO and Chief Scientist. Prior to Fraud Sciences, Mr. Wilf was CTO and Co-Founder of Trivnet (acquired by Gemalto for USD 35 million). Prior to that, Mr. Wilf was a software engineer at Scidel Ltd., where he developed real-time computer vision systems. He is currently co-founder and chairman of five technology startups.

      • Dr. Kurt Kaltenegger

        Kurt is CTO of ABB Technology Ventures (ATV), Group Vice President and member of the ABB Technology Core Team. ATV is the corporate venture capital arm of the ABB Group, focused on investments into smart power technologies and industrial automation, with a specific focus on IoT, Robotics and Service Technologies.

        Kurt received his PhD in Physics from Montanistic University Leoben Austria and was 5 years assistant professor at the University. Kurt joined ABB in 1991 and held various Management positions in R&D and Technology Management.

        Kurt holds more than 30 patents, founded a number of R&D departments worldwide and was in leadership of Technology strategy and R&D in the BU global energy distribution products. Before Kurt joined ATV in 2010 as founding member, he spent 3 years in China, Beijing as Head of ABB Research and CTO ABB China. Since 2010 Kurt was involved in 18 equity investments, and is board member and technical adviser in portfolio companies.

      • Dr. Ilian Iliev

        Dr. Ilian Iliev is CEO of EcoMachines Ventures, a London-based pan-European VC fund focused on innovative hardware companies in the energy, resource efficiency and industrial high-tech sectors. He is a Board member of other companies in the robotics and resource efficiency space. Prior to setting up EcoMachines Ventures, he advised major global corporations and investment funds in the energy, water technology, industrial high-tech and transportation on IP strategy, technology licensing and growth strategy issues.

        Ilian holds a PhD from Cambridge University’s Judge Business School, focused on Venture Capital business models in emerging economies. He has published widely on issues in the energy and cleantech space, innovation finance and innovation policy.

      • Dr. Meir Morag

        Founder and former CEO of N-trig, Ltd., a leading provider of digitizers and touch screens to major laptop manufacturers. Dr. Morag previously co-founded Emultek Ltd. (later on E-SIM), where he served as VP Business Development. Prior to that, Dr. Morag served as a special consultant to the Israel Aircraft Industry and an airline captain with Arkia Airlines.

        Dr. Morag holds a Ph.D. in experimental psychology from Tel Aviv University, where he specialized in brain research.

      • Leon Waisbein

        Mr. Waisbein is an expert in business-to-consumer strategies and has a proven record in building international direct sales networks.

        Mr. Waisbein is associated with Herbalife Ltd. which is a world-leading distributor of weight loss and personal care products with annual retail sales of over $4.3 bln in 77 countries.
        Prior to joining the PointGrab Board, Mr. Waisbein served on the Board of Directors at Herbalife Ltd (HLF at NYCE).

        Mr. Waisbein is also Chairman of a charity foundation aimed at helping disabled children.

      • Eyal Khayat

        Mr. Eyal Khayat is the managing partner of Yingke Israel – the Israeli branch of Beijing Yingke Law Firm, which is the largest law firm in Asia Pacific. Throughout the last 20 years Mr. Khayat has been involved in Israeli high-tech and venture capital transactions.
