Mr. Haim Perski, Co-Founder & CEO
Mr. Perski brings with him extensive experience in working with PC manufacturers (OEMs) and in developing, delivering and integrating input devices within mobile PCs.
Prior to founding PointGrab, Mr. Perski was VP R&D and CTO of N-trig Ltd., a leading provider of digitizers and touch screens to major laptop manufacturers. Having joined N-trig at an early stage, Mr. Perski took the company’s products through the entire development cycle, from conception to production. He then went on to manage approximately 45 employees and successfully integrated N-trig’s device into a Tier 1 laptop manufacturer.
Before N-trig, Mr. Perski led a development team of 30 engineers at BVR LTD (NASDAQ BVRS), providers of real-time simulation and monitoring systems. Prior to that, he led a software team at Scidel Ltd., where he was responsible for Computer Vision algorithms for real-time environments.
Mr. Perski holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University (cum laude).
Mr. Amir Kaplan, Co-Founder, Vice President Technology
Mr. Kaplan brings to PointGrab over 20 years of experience as both a leader and a manager of various development teams in the fields of computer vision, image processing and input devices. Before founding PointGrab, Mr. Kaplan led a development team of over 10 engineers at N-trig Ltd., where he focused on the development of innovative input devices for surface computing systems.
Prior to N-trig, Mr. Kaplan led the Software Group at 3DV Systems, a provider of 3D cameras, where he was responsible for the development of real-time image processing systems. Before joining 3DV, Mr. Kaplan led an algorithm team at Scidel Ltd., where he focused on the development of real-time computer vision algorithms. Prior to Scidel, Mr. Kaplan worked for approximately ten years at Scitex Ltd. where he managed various software teams responsible for developing image processing applications for the pre-press industry.
Mr. Kaplan holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics & Computer Science and an MBA in Finance from Tel Aviv University.
Mr. Itamar Roth, Vice President Business Development
Mr. Roth brings over 15 years of start-ups experience in the fields of marketing, product and business development, with in-depth focus of embedded systems and imaging solutions.
Prior to PointGrab, Mr. Roth has led the marketing and product management of the enterprise division in Anobit (acquired by Apple) and managed the professional services both in TransChip (acquired by Samsung) and in Samsung Israel R&D center.
His past roles include R&D positions in Atrica (acquired by nokia siemens networks) and TeraCross.
Mr. Roth holds MBA from Recanati Executive MBA program in Tel-Aviv university and B.Sc (Summa cum Laude) in Communication Systems Engineering from Ben Gurion University.
Mr. Eran Eilat, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Eilat has over seven years of proven algorithm development experience for computer vision and machine learning real time systems.
Before joining PointGrab, Mr. Eilat led the algorithm team at Omek Interactive, developing skeleton tracking algorithms for 3D cameras. Before that, Mr. Eilat led the 2D algorithm development at IDT video technologies.
Mr. Eilat holds a B.Sc in Computer Engineering from Ben Gurion University, and is currently completing his M.Sc in Electro Optics engineering.
Mr. Assaf Gad, Chief Marketing Officer
Mr. Gad has over 12 years of experience in the field of product management, marketing and user experience, with in-depth focus on consumer products.
Before joining PointGrab, Mr. Gad was leading the product management and marketing OEM departments at Powermat Technologies, a leader provider of wireless power solutions for consumer electronics products. Prior to Powermat, Mr. Gad was heading the product management at Modu Mobile. Earlier in his career, Mr. Gad served as Head of Product Management at Telmap Ltd. (acquired by Intel), a leading provider of location based services.
His past roles include several development positions in mobile and Internet start-ups and a research assistance position of Prof. Schocken Shimon and Prof. Nisan Noam at The Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya.
Mr. Gad holds BSc. in Computer Science from The Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya.
Ms. Efrat Ben Meir, Chief Finance Officer
Ms. Efrat Ben Meir brings to PointGrab over 11 years of experience in global high-tech finance. Prior to joining the PointGrab team, Efrat was CFO for Nextage, a financial services company that accompanies startups from seed to global expansion. Before this, she held key financial positions in the Israeli consulate in Philadelphia, USA and at Nice Systems, a NASDAQ-traded company and worldwide leader in integrated digital recording and management solutions.
Efrat is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a BA in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University, and an MBA specializing in Finance from Bar Ilan University.
Mr. Yonatan Hyatt, Vice President R&D
Mr. Hyatt is responsible for driving research and development of PointGrab’s next-generation gesture recognition technology. He brings to PointGrab almost two decades of R&D experience, breakthrough creative technological thinking, hands-on experience in signal, image and video processing, computer vision, machine learning, and gesture recognition, as well as a unique, long-term and in-depth acquaintance with PointGrab’s R&D department.
Prior to joining the PointGrab team in 2012 as Algorithms Team Leader, Mr. Hyatt was Algorithms Team Leader in Xsight Systems, a provider of advanced runway sensor solutions. Before this, he was an Algorithms Engineer at Correlation Systems, a leading research and development company. Previously, he served in the Israel Defense Forces’ elite 8200 Intelligence Unit.
Mr. Hyatt has a M.Sc in Image and Signal Processing and a B.Sc in Bio-Medical Engineering, both from Tel Aviv University, and is a graduate of the noted Haman Talpiot military excellence program.
Mr. Yaron Chen, Vice President Operations
Mr. Chen Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of the Operations function of the division, leading the Project Management, QA and Support teams, from initial project stages through full-scale commercial launches. Mr. Chen brings to PointGrab over 18 years’ experience working in global high-tech and a successful track record of design, delivery and execution of large-scale projects.
Prior to joining PointGrab, Mr. Chen led Project Management for EMEA Strategic Accounts at cVidya, a leading supplier of Revenue Analytics solutions to communications and digital service providers. Previously, he was Regional Director for the Intelligence Solutions Division at NICE Systems, a major provider of global integrated digital recording and management solutions. Before this, Mr. Chen was Director of Product Management at Metrolight, a manufacturer of Smart Electronic Ballasts and LED drivers.
Mr. Chen holds a B.A. in Computer Science and Management from the Open University.
