The PointGrab solution works by installing highly intelligent workplace sensors on ceilings that will monitor predefined areas of interest, such as the reception area, desk spaces, meeting rooms, dining areas, and more. Packed with cutting-edge machine learning technology, each sensor can monitor up to 520 square feet and can generate occupancy sensor data in real-time to provide visibility into occupant behavior and space utilization. The sensors will detect the presence, location and amount of people within a given space, and will send this data to the cloud-based PointGrab analytics dashboard over a secure, encrypted network connection. Businesses can then use this data for office space optimization and can reduce the overall cost of operations and even commercial real-estate.
